About Me

My photo
God does have a sense of humor, after years of infertility, we adopted 2 beautiful babies, I later had the "surprise baby"! In the very spare time I have, I love to decorate, paint, and make all kinds of things. I do repurpose old furniture and custom paint furniture for clients. I work with all types of vintage items. I love to make our house a home. I like to see how others do it and share what I do also. Contact me at alittlecountryhouse@gmail.com if you are interested in any products I have posted or if you are local to Atlanta and want a furniture face lift! Love your old junk again!

Vintage Market Design from A Little Country House

I have been painting furniture for a year now, as a business. Now, A Little Country House has jumped off in the design area. Meet the" Vintage Market Design" side of A Little Country House.
My client Katie, is a very hip, boho chic, vintage kinda girl. She is a musician, hairdresser, wife, and mom of 2 precious little kids. She called me to do her master bath. Of course, we needed to do this bathroom on a very reasonable budget.  I think we nailed it for her. I think it is very "Katie". It feels like success, to have captured her personality in this project. We made great impact without breaking bank. Take a look around and let me know what ya think! I believe I created a little Anthropologie vibe here. We still have some lighting we are finishing up,  and a super cute curtain for her new window! I will post those later, but for now, enjoy!

Meet Katie. Totally Adorable Girl!

Here is where we begin....

Bye Bye!!!!!

See Ya later...This is coming back with a new look!!!
this window had no trim..it was just sheetrock wrapped
around the sides with a wood ledge...We trimmed it out..
so much better...

A new room, for 2 lovebirds....

Bring on the vintage, romantic, a little feminine touch...
cause after all, this is our get away from the kids..right?

A little Pop of color here and there!
take your builder's grade vanity and pump up the volume...

Hello old vanity! You have been brought back fom the dead....

ok...so, I look at Pinterest too...Gotta Love...

How bout a vintage flea market mirror??? I think
a lil Anthropologie....

my special treatment..shhhh.....

God is in the detail....

I am trying to give you a 360 view...

clean bright white wainscotting, and a little Martha Stewart
Sea Anemone....

a little nod to Restoration Hardware....but not....

Old Shelf we salvaged from her garage, used pallet
wood for the shelves....and a little paint...
new light fixture, we made

more detail...

Cool Pendant light , the right finishing touch

 Simple and lovely

this is ceramic tile, we did in a big, subway pattern
it has a lot of grey and we used grey grout..it turned out very pretty
and looks more expensive than it is...

I'm sick of a toilet paper holder, so we used a cute
basket....just different..

new counter top and faucet...kinda looks like an old timey pump, but new...
fresh towels! cute tub now!

remember the niceties....

This was all done on a budget....No extreme spending, to turn this
bathroom around from frumpy to fabulous...
I can do this for you too.....
