Easter Table Scape

Hello Lovely Ladies! Everyone ready for Easter! I am loving some spring, except for the killer pollen!
You know what else I love. I love some textiles. That's right, bedding, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, curtains....I love it all. Love some fabric. Love to mix it up, blend it all together. I was playing in the textiles and dishes today. The dishes I am using are 20 years old. They are, what I picked when I got married. I use them everyday and for special occasion. I love flowers so, these are still my favs. Another thing I love, napkins and dish towels, which are incorporated in with all the goods. Nothing is new, it is all old, all stuff I have around the house. You can do this too! You probably have mason jars, and grass, and eggs. Throw in some twine and anything you got! Blend it together, and you will have a pretty cute table! Enjoy! Love!

My fav dishes, so cheery!

Bunnies, grass, eggs....comfy pillows....

green gingham, floral naps, stripe dish towel
also, I had these little cards with rabbits on them
I tied them to the jars with string...kind cute...

wooden napkin ring, from my BFF, I still love it!

egg tree made from viney stems...in mason jar
my favorite vase now...

old church pew, turned table seating...I really don't think I will
ever paint this....

Let's have some Paula Deen french toast casserole!

Let's just sit here and chat and drink coffee!!

I feel pretty here, do you??

Spring has sprung, here!!

another area of my kitchen..

Another gift, I love a monogram too!!

Happy Easter and May God Bless and Keep You!!!

Shabby Birds and a Nursery Chair

This is just one of those little occassional tables you find anywhere. You see them all over the flea markets, no big deal. I painted this in ascp paloma gray, (a shade of lavender), then distressed it. It still had zero personality, so I decided to do a little bird design on it, I just found a pic I liked on the internet, then I did my own freehand version of it. I used cream and aqua acrylic paint. That is all. Just some whimsy. This should go in a girl's room!

This is a nursery rocker for a family member, I had to tear it down to the frame, it actually had
horse hair inside....and a really old, disintegrated burlap sack...hmmm......I'm guessing, it is OLD!!
I cleaned it up, attached new chair strapping, new foam, stapled the new, fun, funky fabric
and here it is....ready for baby girl!!!! Enjoy!!

we decided to leave the wood, because every piece in the
room is painted, we liked the touch of wood....

they actually look kinda cute together!!

don't cha love!!!

Zebra Charm

Another weekend of furniture facelifting! Saturday was St. Patrick's Day, but more importantly, my hubby's birthday.  We played outside and cooked on the grill. Full on spring in the south! So glad, winter is out, but the pollen is killing me ... Here is a vintage recycle I worked on for my sister-in-law. It was an old cherry armoire, probably from the 30's. I chalk painted , old white then did a green and cream, zebra print in the panel doors. I don't have a before pic, sorry. I always start painting, and then it hits me," hey, dummy, you didn't take the before pic"....oh well, Shabby-fabulous, check it out!

I think I'm in love with this, and I don't even like zebra....;)
