About Me

My photo
God does have a sense of humor, after years of infertility, we adopted 2 beautiful babies, I later had the "surprise baby"! In the very spare time I have, I love to decorate, paint, and make all kinds of things. I do repurpose old furniture and custom paint furniture for clients. I work with all types of vintage items. I love to make our house a home. I like to see how others do it and share what I do also. Contact me at alittlecountryhouse@gmail.com if you are interested in any products I have posted or if you are local to Atlanta and want a furniture face lift! Love your old junk again!

Bohemian Inspiration

A Little Country House is on a master bedroom makeover. This is for a sweet, young couple with small kids. They have waited and are finally getting a grown up room but inspired by bohemian, hippy- chic meets a lil farmhouse. Katie is a country girl with a hippy vibe. They want a nice love nest, but with some young groove to it. They had almost no furniture and a bed on the floor and brown walls..We are in a total re-do! Here are some pictures of inspiration, from that era Katie is longing to mix into her own living space. True Boho chic is not an easy look to pull off. The looks in magazines have vintage finds from decades of flea market shopping and estate sales. I am challenged to get this boho look from quickly pulling  my clients own vintage finds, department store finds, and thrift stores. I am on it! Challenge accepted... More posts on this room coming when we are done. Oh, and a mustard velvet headboard is coming from burlapstreet.com. It will be a centerpiece of the room.

Can't begin to think Boho Chic without
the best early 70's music ever...

and don't forget these guys.. circa 1971..
