About Me

My photo
God does have a sense of humor, after years of infertility, we adopted 2 beautiful babies, I later had the "surprise baby"! In the very spare time I have, I love to decorate, paint, and make all kinds of things. I do repurpose old furniture and custom paint furniture for clients. I work with all types of vintage items. I love to make our house a home. I like to see how others do it and share what I do also. Contact me at if you are interested in any products I have posted or if you are local to Atlanta and want a furniture face lift! Love your old junk again!

Little Brother and Sister Bedroom

This is a bedroom we did for a regular client. We did a gender neutral bathroom for her kids and she wanted a gender neutral bedroom for her 2 and 4 year old boy and girl. The room was pink and white striped, all girl...The room was small too, a lot of furniture and toys. A good size closet with a little door, made it impossible to utilize the whole closet. I like the challenge of making small spaces functional and roomier. Her husband ripped closet door off and expanded the area and we did whole new closet system with cool shelves and baskets and wooden rods. I forgot to photograph inside of closet, but it's so much nicer now. Then new carpet, and the room was painted, Benjamin Moore White Dove. It's not a cool white, has a creamy hue to it. I think it is one of the best whites to work with. I know some people are afraid of white, but we did satin finishes and you can wipe those off as easily, as another color. The white opens the space and makes it airy and seem bigger. My client loves vintage items from 50's and 60's so we wanted to incorporate some fun things into the room and mix with some modern items too. Enjoy the pics! Sorry. no before pic...

all the furniture is Ikea that we dressed up...

we did a removable wall paper on the dresser and shelf

These are pages from the Sally, Dick and Jane books, These may be my fav decor in the room!

Spray painted deer antlers, I think they are super cool!

Toys for a little boy!

vintage trunk for toys!

Ikea shelf turned dress-up station

Beautiful new closet, we used curtains to keep it open without heavy doors in the way when you open them

more toy storage, spray painted a lot of items for bright pops of color

Girls bed, oranges, yellows, and Bo Peep!

Boys bed, grays, orange, blues and another vintage nursery rhyme...

organized, bright, and fun for the little kids! Thank You Barnett Family!
our sources are, Ikea, Marshalls, Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace,  various flea markets
